Hello!

Heading back to WDW in July. I have a request from the lil' ones for Ribs! We just did hoop-de-doo a few months ago, so I am looking for suggestions for a different restaurant with Ribs onsite. Characters/Show optional.

Thanks, JP

You can get ribs at Yak & Yeti....

I am not certain but can't you also get them at Whispering Canyon Cafe?

All of WDW pork ribs are supplied by the same vendor and pretty much are prepared the same way. HDD, Whispering Canyon, the buffets all are very similar. However, the Mojo Bones at Rainforest Cafe are different. Little more wet and sweeter. Big River Grille at the Boardwalk serves a dry rib a little different than the WDW resort restaurants. The Trex has ribs. I've seen them but never tried them. They look like the Mojo Bones. My choice would be Mojo Bones.

Not sure, but, don't they offer them at Cosmic Rays?

2 words: Chef Mickey's. We had these a couple of years ago and I still remember them. They were a bit sweet and absolutely delicious!

I'm not sure how similar the ribs are at all the Disney places or if they differ slightly even if they all come from the same place with the same basic prep. Some restaurants might add seasonings or sauces later to make them more unique. Sci-Fi Dine-In has ribs in a cola-based sauce. Trails End has a buffet with chicken and ribs. Whispering Canyon Cafe would certainly be fun for the kids.

At Disney, I've only had the ribs at Flametree BBQ, and they were pretty good, though certainly not the best I've ever had.

Yes- we always get the 1/2 chicken and rib plate. 1 adult CS.

To the OP: I'm not sure where you can find ribs in a kids meal. You may have to order something like the chicken/rib plate and share it.

Flame Tree BBQ in AK. I had the pulled pork, but my wife had the ribs and loved them. It was probably the best CS we've had at the parks.

If not everyone in the group is looking for ribs, but you all want a great meal, I'd suggest Wolfgang Puck Cafe at DTD. My DS had the Asian Hoisin ribs (he almost chooses ribs when we eat out), and he deemed them

The ribs at Whispering Canyon Cafe are delicious! Got them on my last trip in Nov 2008, and really enjoyed the meal. Just being at the WL is breathtaking enough, and this restaurant is really good!

I suggest the ribs at the House of Blues at DTD. We had them on our trip last August and they were very tasty!!

I ate ribs three times on our recent trip! First, at Cosmic Ray's, then at Flame Tree BBQ and as part of the skillet at WCC. They were all good! At the counter service places, they don't really differentiate between adults' and kids' meals, so you may want to go that route.

Thanks for all the excellent tips. It appears that my topic struck a bone (Pun intended).

We are moving to a Muslim country due to my career so ribs will be a challenge for us soon. So we want to fill up at WDW on our July trip (Plus Bacon!).

I have an ADR at Chef Mickeys, if there are ribs there that should fit the bill nicely. My DS is 11 yo now (soon to be 12), so I don't think he will want the kids meals, he is eating me out of house and home right now :-)

Thanks, JP

I think Flame Tree BBQ in AK is wonderful. The "floor show" is the beautiful view of Expedition Everest across the lagoon, and the crazy ducks and other birds wandering around the tables as you eat.
