Ok I've posted 3 questions on here in like the past 20 minutes so can ya tell I am exciting about planning this cruise haha.

I am considering February (excluding v-day/presidents day weekend) or early march for a DC, depending on what I find out about the weather. I am assuming this to be off-season.

As such, how far in advance would seasoned cruise-goers suggest I book? Right now, February is still over 9 months away and I am hoping to save money for the cruise so don't want to book (and subsequently pay for it) yet. However, being budget conscious (and not really caring that much about the room), will also want to cheapest room I can get, and I know those book up quicker.

What do you guys suggest? Thanks!!

I can fully appreciate your excitement; we're about to take our fourth DCL cruise. :cloud9:

We have taken two February cruises, in 2005 and 2009. Both were during the first week of the month. We couldn't have asked for much better weather both times. A bit cool when leaving Florida, but very comfortable once we got farther south.

It's never too early to book. In fact, you might want to do it now! Both of our February cruises were fully booked.

As a good starting point, I'd suggest you contact Magical Journeys (http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/DCL/DCL_ships.htm), an Intercot sponsor. They have gained a very solid reputation here. The good folks there have an ability to locate the best possible deal, and keep an eye on developments that might save you even more.

Edit: I see that Nanci from MJ has replied to one of your other posts. You really owe it to yourself to contact them; they are Disney specialists who have gotten great results for many of our members here.

Disney "usually" is cheaper the earlier you book.

You do not need to pay in full, a deposit is required and is refundable up to final payment date should circumstances change.

Thanks for the great replies guys. This is going to be a 2 yr wedding anniversary for my wife and I am hoping to give her an option of a 4 day cruise or a 4 night stay at the parks at AKL in a savannah view room. Our anny isn't until June 24 and since I don't know which she will pick (though I would guess the cruise as we have been to WDW just about every year for the past few years) I don't want to put down any money on either until I see what she wants. Hopefully that will still give me plenty of time to a.) get a good deal, and b.) get in on it before it books up.
