Which one would you choose for a visit to WDW?

I would pick the week before Christmas, just so I could see all of the Christmas decorations, the Osborne lights and maybe even a MVMCP! :tree:

Same here, I'd pick the week before X-mas. I love seeing all the decorations and the Castle is just unbelievable.

Guess I'll join the crowd and also pick the week before Christmas. A couple of things to be aware of though - December weather can be very variable and, at times, it can be downright cold! Also, the closer you get to the actual holiday, the more crowding you will experience.

I agree too. The week before Christmas.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I too would choose pre x-mas. There is just something magical about that time of year, when the hotels are all decorated and the parks are kitted out in full xmas themeing. Just wonderful.

Thanks for the feedback!

I hadn't even thought about how beautiful the Christmas decorations will be...I was too busy worrying about crowds.

Since both weeks are known to be very crowded, might as well experience something new!

Looks like we'll be spending Christmas in WDW!

I too agree with Christmas. WDW looks fantastic. And if they are still doing MVMCP, that was so much fun too.

I would go for Christmas. It is a whole other look in the parks!

Another thing to consider, the Christmas crowds always "feel" less crowded to me than the Spring Break/Easter crowds. Probably b/c there is actually more to do (b/c of all the holiday decor/festivities) that the crowds are more spread out. Also, IMO it's less miserable to wait in line in the cooler weather vs. the hotter weather (depending on when Easter falls, of course).

Pre Christmas for me. Actually, we go two weeks before because it IS less crowded.

We're Christmas people, and with the kids grown, this is OUR celebration.:santa:

We are going the week of Christmas this year, and I was shocked/disappointed that there is no Mickey Christmas party in the MK on the week of Christmas! That's ridiculous. Is there anything special that they do on Christmas Day?

Thanks for the feedback/input...We went with the week before Christmas.
I'm so excited!
We plan to fly down to Orlando, spend a week at WDW, then drive to Miami Beach to celebrate the New Year with the grandparents.

Because of the way that most schools schedule breaks, the week before Christmas is a little less crowded than the week before Easter.

Most schools around here schedule Christmas break for week between Xmas and New Years, plus a day or two before Christmas, and schedule Easter break for the week before Easter.

If you go the week before Christmas, you'll be there before the really insane crowds hit.

I've donr both the weekof Christmas and the week of Easter. For me, Christmas time is the run away winner! So festive and fun! The crowds were actually a little worse for Easter time.
