When is Presidents Week/Mardigras in 2010?

Thinking of a Feb trip, but we want to avoid these weeks if we can. What is Speed Week, too - is that February?

I checked the 2010 calendar and President's Day is Monday, Feb. 15th. Mardi Gras is Tuesday, Feb. 16th. So I would guess that week would be pretty busy!

Looks like the planets are all aligning in 2010. Valentine's Day (Sun 2/14), President's Day (Mon 2/15), Mardi Gras (Tues 2/16), and Daytona the entire weekend, with the 500 on 2/14. I'm not sure about 'Speed Week', but it looks like the middle weekend of Feb could be busy for a variety of reasons. Hope that helps.

Speed week generally takes place in the week leading up to Presidents Day weekend which culminates in the running of the Daytona 500 on the Sunday of Presidents' Day weekend. There are a number of races that are run that week. Many Nascar fans combine attendance at some of these races with a Disney vacation so that does push the crowds up a bit in the week leading into Presidents' Day weekend. However, the crowds the week before are nothing compared to the crowds that are there from Preisdents' Day weekend through the week following when many kids are on school vacation.

I'm glad were going in December because Mardi Gras seems out of the question this year. I think it's in March of 2011 so that looks like that could be my next trip to plan.
