I have a non-expiring ticket question

Just this past Feb when we were at WDW under the 4+ 3 offer I upgraded my ticket to non-expiring and I currently have 3 days left on the ticket.

Here is the question. I am planning a trip for mid August and I have purchased a one day park hopper ticket so that I can get the dining plan. Can I transfer the three day from the Feb ticket to the August ticket so I do not have to carry both tickets with me.

I would say not - they are two completely different kinds of tickets. Either that or they would have you pay to make the 'one day' ticket non-expiring as well.
