holiday decorations

Anyone know when the Christmas decorations will be put up in the parks?

They start going up after Nov 1, and most of the MK is done by mid November when the MVMCP begins. Some things, though, like the gingerbread house at GF, Osborne Lights, and Epcot events don't start until around or after Thanksgiving.

We went the week before Thanksgiving and attended MVMCP and were very DISAPPOINTED that they didn't have the MK Xmas tree up...what's up with that...hard to have a Xmas Party with no tree...Also, last year the Osbourne lights were not up until either Thanksgiving or the Sunday after Thanksgiving.

We like to go the week before Thanksgiving. We were at WDW that week as recently as 2007, and we got to see Osborne Lights. Is this something new - as of 2008 - not having them up then? Do we know it'll be the same this year?

As of 2008 Disney reverted to the original time frame of the Osborne Lights, which is after Thanksgiving.

For 2009 they will be lit Nov 30-Jan 3.
