Firework Favorite

Oh I've seen the 4th of July ones ONCE and they were INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! I cried...course I'm a History teacher so it hit me different than others in our group!

We've seen most of them, including July 4th, but have to go with Hallowishes.

My DD votes for the ones from the P&P party last year.

My DH votes for Wishes ... I think I'll go for Illuminations, just to split the vote, but Wishes is awesome too! :fworks:

Really hard to decide between wishes and illuminations...but I actually think I am leaning towards illuminations...plus the music afterwards as you are walking out of the countries just adds to it...:cloud9:

The only special holiday fireworks at WDW I have seen is "HalloWishes" at MNSSHP (several times), and it is fabulous.
But in general I would have to say that Wishes, when seen from inside the MK along Main Street, where it seems like you are almost underneath the shells exploding over the castle, with the music soundtrack, especially when "When You Wish Upon a Star" plays near the end, is the most Magical fireworks experience I've ever seen, not just at WDW, but anywhere.

It's also pretty dadgum magical to see Wishes overhead while riding Splash Mountain. We discovered that by accident, but it is now a family tradition.

Illuminations is my favorite of all the "regular" fireworks shows. The music is wonderful - before, during and after the show.

For special events, Hallo-Wishes, as seen from a window table at 'Ohana with the music being piped in is at the top of my list.

But the absolute best, most spectacular fireworks show I've ever seen, was the show at Disneyland for their 50th anniversary. It was incredible. You can think of it as Wishes on steroids.

Okay, as weird as this sounds....

The Light Pageant. The one that goes around to the Hotels around MK, after Wishes (okay, I love Wishes). There are no fireworks, per se, but I loved watching it almost every night. ^_^

When it comes to fireworks nothing beats NYE @ MK.
Makes dealing with the massive crowd all day worth the effort.

My favorite is whichever one I've seen most recently. I haven't seen any of the special holiday presentations, but I love Wishes, Illuminations, Fantasmic, and the light pageant. Just when I think I've decided on a favorite I see another one and love it just as much!

I can only judge between Illumination and Wishes, I have never seen Fantasmic...will be going this year though. But I absolutely adore illuminations.

Wishes is my all time favorite and holds a special place in my heart. :cloud9: Illuminations is a VERY close second, though!

I've only seen 2 special/holiday fireworks shows - MVMCP and Illuminations with the holiday ending - and of those 2, Illuminations gets my vote! :fworks:

DW and I LOVE the fireworks from MNSSHP! With the amazing use of laser lights, projections and the grand finale that ends the show with 360 degrees of fireworks surrounding Main Street this is one incredible show. The fireworks alone were worth the price of the special tickets.

For over the top wonderfulness (is that a word?) I'd have to go with Iluminations. Especially with the holiday tag. It just blew me away in December.

But for Disney Magic & nostalgia, it's gotta be Wishes. Each & every time I see this I tell myself "Your not gonna lose it". Each & every time I do just fine until that darn kid starts singing "Starlight, Starbright..." I desolve into a blubbering fool.I guess it just has to do with all the histgory of Walt, and his vision, and the wonderful memories I have of visiting WDW.

We love Wishes,but it's tough leaving the park afterwards.I think Illuminations is our favorite as long as the Globe is working but Fantasmic is also unique.

Wishes is my favorite, although I liked it better when the music was from the rides, and the castle was lit up to symbolize the rides.

it would have to be a toss up between teh Holiday Illuminations and the MNSSHP HalloWishes! They are both the best fireworks shows I have ever seen!

They all have their strong plus points:

1. For nostalgia and just all-round Disney magic it has to be Wishes.

2. As a technical display then Illuminations is absolutely fantastic.

3. For the full show and the 'wow factor' that it brings with it Fantasmic is excellent.

I used to say Fantasmic but this Christmas we were at the MK and Me and my Step Daughter were on Dumbo durring Wishes. Im sure we could not time it like that again, ever, but it was amazing. That is a memory I will treasure always. Being on the ride and going around like that just made a great show better. And to think, I didnt wanna go on Dumbo with her because the line was so long. Silly me. :mickey:
