Week of Thanksgiving

Please give me your input on visiting Disney World from the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to the Monday after Thanksgiving. We have never been there that time of year and are not sure what to expect with the crowds. We would like to go to MVMCP, on Nov. 29th. Has anyone heard when they will tape the parade, as we would like to avoid that if at all possible.

That's an extremely busy time of year. Expect crowds. I don't think they tape the parade until the first week of December or so.

As stated, that is a pretty busy time since kids are out of school. It's not as bad as the week after Christmas though.

Also as stated, the Christmas parade taping is normally the following weekend (first weekend of December).

We have a trip planned for Nov. 20th until the 27th. When do the crowds really start to pick up? We had hoped to plan most stuff for the first few days of the trip thinking that by Wednesday before Thanksgiving it will be mobbed. We are leaving the day after Thanksgiving.

To my experience, it starts to get crowded on the Friday before Thanksgiving and then stays very crowded through that week. The Monday after Thanksgiving should be a lot quieter.

When we went at Thanksgiving, the days before were great(public school kids were still in school), and Thanksgiving day was a little crowded.

The day AFTER Thanksgiving was really crowded. We rode almost nothing, then happened to luck into lunch at the castle, and then we went back to our hotel pool.

Almost did't find this post... so glad I did! Since I teach school, this is about the only time that we can go! I just hope it is not too bad! Thanks for the MVMCP dates! Haven't seen them till now!:cloud9:
