minnie marathon crowds in epcot

how much of an impact is the minnie marathon going to have on epcot on may 2nd? should we plan on leaving later than normal to give the runners a chance to clear out? will parking be affected? TIA :mickey:

We will be there May 2nd too. I was unaware that Minnie Marathon was at this time. Where did you get that information? I haven't been able to find a schedule. Thanks

I would not expect it to have a significant impact. It might impact traffic somewhat, but that's about it.

There is no MInnie Marathon this year. It was cancelled for this year, and a new event, the Princess Half-Marathon was rolled out in March 2009. They're probably not going to bring the Minnie back.

There is a Danskin Women's Triathlon on Sunday, May 11, 2009. I have no idea what that will do to the park. It's a much smaller event than the marathon, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

We'll be there May 9 - May 16 and we're not concerned.

Mid-May is a great time to be at the World.
