If you have a packaged booked at Disney do you think that prevents you from getting pin code discounts??? Do you think they send the codes to people who havent traveled in a while??

Thanks

We used to get them all the time when we lived in NewEngland. When we moved back to Florida, the pins stopped coming. In five years, we have seen zero pins.

We have never gotten a pin. We've booked room only, packages, free dining, etc. and NADA!

No it doesn't prevent you from getting a pin code. We received our first pin about 6 weeks after our last trip and have now received 4 in 5 months.

Good Question. We usually go a few times a year. It has been almost a year since our last trip. I received 4 pin codes in about a 3 month period of time. I booked a trip and then I did receive one more.....Since then....nothing. It might not have anything to do with it. I'm curious if I get more soon.

We go at least once a year (usually 2 to 4 times a year) and have only received 1 pin code.

We've traveled to the world 4 times in the past 5 years and just received our first pin last month after returning from a Disney Cruise. I've never received one before. It was discounting certain weeks this Fall. Paired with a great deal from the Cruise line ($99 per person for a 3 night Bahama's cruise), we couldn't pass up the opportunity to do both!

We have been 3 times in 3 years. May 06, sept 07, may 08. In August I got my first mailed pin code and shortly after in Nov I got another via email. They have emailed me the same pin since Nov 4 times. It expires in 6 days and we booked our trip today. So I am wondering the same thing. Will I not get another code since I used this one. I really would like to know what we did to get it. I will say this I have never went without some sort of promo code that was available to the public. Maybe they know I'm a sale/discount traveler.

As much as we've spent on this trip, and last years trip over 30k we haven't gotten one pin code and we use the Disney card and pay it off in full:confused: before the trip. Three trips in three years no codes crazy, so who knows the myth to the madness not I:)

I seem to get them everytime I request a new vacation DVD.

Same here.
Especially if you give them the info of when you plan to travel next.

I've never received a pin code. I book with discounts whenever available, and we request the planning DVD everytime we start talking about another trip, so I don't think either of those are how Disney determines who to send the codes to. It seems completely random to me.

When we were planning our last trip in Feb. 08 we didn't receive any pin codes. Then I started planning for our trip in Dec 09-Jan 2010 and didn't get anything for several months. Once the promotion of 4 for 3 came out and I booked a trip during that time (had to cancel but that's a different story :fit: ), I started getting all kinds of pin codes! I got 3 in the mail within a month and a half and one in my e-mail. I think they were just tempting me to see if they could get me to go on 3 trips in 1 year! It was tempting but silly things like school and money got in the way.
