Question about CR elevator

We are planning a trip to WDW and are thinking about staying in CR tower room. Several years ago we were visiting resorts for possible future stays. At CR there was a long wait at the elevators. Since then my DH has refused to stay there thinking the tie up at the elevators could get old really fast.
Question for those who have stayed in a tower room. Are there usually lines for the elevators?

We went last September and didn't have much of a wait at the elevators at all. Most of the times, we got right on. I don't know which month you are going in, but Sept. isn't that busy, so maybe that is why we didn't have any problems.
