When exactly do the dining plan credits expire?

We are considering eating breakfast at either Chef Mickey's or The Wave on the day we check-out. We've never attempted to use dining credits on check-out day. What time of the day do the credits expire?

They expire midnight the day you check out.
You can also keep billing stuff to your room even after you check out if that's how you want to pay the tip.

Last year we had a nice lunch before we headed off to the airport. We also had a bunch of snacks left over so we picked some big cookies for the plane ride!!

I'm glad I read this, I never thought of it before we always have a nice breakfast the day we leave on the DDP, and grab some leftover credits on the way out. I never thought of when they expired though...thanks:mickey:
