I know there are special events throughout the year that can increase crowds, even though it might be listed as a slow period. I know of some of them, such as "Jersey Week" (first week in November, right?) and then there is "Cheerleaders Week" (sometime in Jan or Feb?) but can anyone tell me if there is anything special going on at the end of September, first part of October that might increase the crowd size? I know the Epcot Food & Wine Fest is going on and MNSSHP, but any conventions or anything that most of us mere mortals might not know about? Thanks for the input!

We have gone down at this time for our last 3 trips. :mickey:They only thing is that there has been free dining and the resturants are hard to get in to without ADR's, but that is about it. The crowd levels are great and EPCOT only gets busy at night. I think it is one of the best times to go.:D

By far October is the best time to go. I will always book in October since my 2008 trip. We really enjoyed it!!!

Low crowds, great weather...need I say more?
