I was wondering is it ok to book an ADR just to eat Dessert?

The answer is yes, it is fine, and people do it all the time. HOWEVER, I confess that I could never do it. I'd feel guilty taking up table space! But we were at Rose and Crown in December timed so that we could see Illuminations from their patio, and the couple beside us had come in JUST for dessert for the same reason, and I could see that they were treated very graciously and the waiter didn't even bat an eye at the dessert only request. He just whisked away the dinner menus and promptly brought them coffee.

Cool, I wouldn't do it during peak dinning times but it would just be nice for a mid-day treat.
