Hi,
I have a question about a food allergy that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have a very severe allergy to jalapenos (actually, the allergy is to salicylic acid, but jalapenos contain a LOT of salicylic acid).
Anyway, my husband and I are joining my parents in Disney World in about a month. We have a reservation for dinner at the San Angel Inn. This is my dad's all time favorite restaurant! I don't want him to miss out on it just because of my allergy, so usually when we go there, I just don't eat anything.
I've been reading about how great Disney is about food allergies and have been considering speaking with them about my jalapeno allergy. Is it too late to do this since we've already made our reservations? Are they just going to laugh and tell me, "You're crazy! Why do you want to eat at a Mexican restaurant if you're allergic to jalapenos?" and then tell me to find another restaurant? I would rather not eat anything and just have a beer or something than have my dad miss out on a meal he looks foward to all year long. So what do you guys think? Thanks for your help!
