I understand with the fees most airlines are charging, that to check in at the resort, fees have to be paid before or during check-in. I think I saw a post here that mentioned calling the day before and paying the fees with a credit card?

So, what if you have 'status' with an airline, and don't need to pay fees? I finally achieved 'silver' status with the Star Alliance airlines (US Airways, United), which means we are allowed 2 bags each. Doubt we'll have more than 1 bag each, but even one bag on those airlines carries a fee of $15.

Can the resort airline check-in process handle the little exceptions to the baggage fee rules?

1) Yes, your status can be recognized.
2) I am gold, and get extra bags and free overweight.
3) Our luggage sailed through resort airport check-in.
