My family and I are heading out to the world in a little over 2 months and we are already thinking on a second trip....I haven't been since 2001 and that was my first jaunt down there and I was 5 months pregnant with my son at the time. Anyway, we want to go in December of 2010 and stay on property and enjoy the festivities. I am not sure how quickly this time of year fills up so I was wondering when would be a safe time to book this out.

You can book room only something like 500 days in advance, so you're a little ahead of the game at present. 2010 prices won't be release until around July or August, so I would hold off until then.

if you're looking for a package, that can be done about 9 months out.

Packages for 2010 will be released in August of 2009 if they follow history. At this time ALL of 2010 will be available for bookings.

Non Guaranteed 2010 room rates may be booked 499 days from the last day of your trip now. 499 days from Dec.1, 2010 is July 20, 2009.

Once Disney releases 2010 rates and packages you should be able to place a hold on a Dec.2010 package at that time. Some resorts may not have all room categories loaded into the reservations system when the 2010 rates first release. It is not unusual to only see a few room categories for Dec. Wilderness Lodge rooms to be released when the new rates come out and have the remaining categories loaded into the system later on.

The past few years have seen rates released in the late summer.

Hope this helps!

LOL it must be 2pm break time.

We have been going since early this morning with the extension of the 4+3. Feels like it is 5 o'clock though!
