Flag Ceremony

We are going to DW from Sept 2-12. My DFIL (first trip to Disney or anywhere) will be celbrating his birthday on the 10th. I wanted to try to sign him up for his brithday to be the vet of the day for his birthday. Can I sign him up on the 2nd- or will I need to go first thing on the 10th to try? Thanks for all your help.
