Rooms rates holiday season going into regular season

Can anyone tell me about room rates for stays that fall partially within a holiday time frame? We will be heading to Disneyworld in April 2010. I looked at the Easter holiday dates for this year and anticipate the the Easter holiday time frame for next year (2010) will run from March 27 thru April 10. We plan on checking into our resort on April 8th. Will we be stuck paying the holiday rate for the entire stay of 12 days? Also we will not have a car with us. If we were to stay in a value resort the 8-10th will the Disneyworld staff assist us in getting our luggage moved to our moderate resort. Just thinking of ways to save on our trip and staying at a value until the holiday time frame is over would be a fairly good savings.

No, Disney has changed their pricing to a night by night pricing scheme. Many people were doing the opposite, showing up a day before a holiday and getting the cheaper rate.

It is now a bit more fair, you are there for the holiday, you pay for the holiday. If you are not, you don't.
