May09 Park Hours

Planning a big event in May '09 but park hours are not posted anywhere! Does anyone know when they'll be available?

They were released today and should be posted on Intercot very soon, but in the meantime you can get them on the Walt Disney World website.

We can't give links to outside sources, especially one that is not always correct. The hours were posted yesterday and then pulled. I assume they had to make some adjustments, but I would expect them to be back up shortly. As soon as WDW does the official release we'll post them on Intercot. Keep checking the front page.

OK, so now I'm a bit ticked.:mad:

I got the hours from another website, just to take a peek.:blush::secret: We are traveling Memorial Day and the hours are usually later by now.

It seems to me that the hours have been cut back a lot. DHS closing at 7pm many nights. What's up with that? People don't want to spend copious amounts of money to have the hours scaled back to next to nothing. Not even a 12 hour day. This is pretty cheap. I sure hope that they change things a bit 'cuz this does not make me happy. Last year AK was open until 8 pm the last week of May. This year, 5 pm. MK open until 11 or 12 with EMH til 2 or 3. Now, 9 or 10.

I realize the economy and cutbacks and all these issues with money, but if you want people to bring their families and spend all this money, than they need to be sure that families have plenty of time to do what they want while they are there. With PI closed, the parks closing early, what are the guests supposed to do? Sit in their rooms and watch tv? I don't think so.

Okay, I'm sorry for venting. I'll get off my :soapbox: now.

I just hope I am getting upset prematurely.

I have to make ADR's soon but it's difficult without the hours and EMH listings.....

According to another site, they are only showing Fantasmic the week we're going on Sunday at 9PM. We really wanted to try the Fantasmic Dinner Package this time, but what are my chances of getting in if that is the only time they are showing it?

Call as soon as possible for your fantasmic package. You will need it more that ever if there is only 1 showing all week. I called on Saturday for May 3rd and got 4:45. That's pretty good considering you have to eat between 3 & 5 for the package. If you don't know the May hours, call the dining reservations center and they will give them to you. Yes, they are subject to change, but even when they post them, they could still change.

I'm absolutely shocked that they are having morning EMH at DHS on 5/23 (Sat) and 5/29 (Friday). The last time they did this with Star Wars Weekends occuring at the same time, it was an absolute ZOO!

Pretty bad they have most parks closing so early at the end of May. That will make me rethink my next trip. No extra magic hours late on a Sat nite. Really lame.
