Apparently one of Sunday's commercials is an "unprecendented offer" by Universal Studios Orlando.

Any rumors as to what this might be? We are going on the Disney Cruise this July, and it might be worth going to Universal for a day or two!

Currently Universal has a Limited time offer with Book a 3 night package/get 2 nights free (countering Disney's current promotion).
It is bookable right now through 2/28 and has dates available through October. There are black out dates from 4/3 to 4/18.

They also have a Stay Longer/Save more offer that is for the same dates for 4 nights/Get 3 free.

Other offers such as Stay 4/Play more are available through December which gives you 2 park times when you stay 4 or more nights.

Super Saver rooms rates are also available.

My guess is that they will be pushing their Buy nights/get nights free during the Super Bowl.

This deal turned out to be a free 7-day pass for the first 100,000 people who register for one on their website. One per household. I thought this was a real good deal, and I must admit, it made me think I might want to go there one day:secret:

Nothing unprecedented about it... Wow, a free ticket to their average at best theme park... Umm, Disney is giving away free tickets too, right?

Saw that, and I tried, but I am sure we're not in the first 100,000.

Neat idea.... not the blowout deal that I anticipated, but other than "Come stay here free for a week," I don't know what would have impressed me! :)

Just got an e-mail -- I was one of the first 100,000 to register (after the second commercial - I did it the next morning) and will receive a 7 (consecutive) day 2 park pass good from March 1, 2009 through Dec. 31, 2009.

I won the free pass too! A free 7 day pass to both parks is a pretty good deal!

We are planning to go 2 of our 11 days in WDW, mainly because of Halloween Horror Nights (NOT to be missed!). So, this will save us $100!!

I never win anything, so I'm psyched! :joy:

I am not trying to bust anyone's bubble, but, do you honestly think 200,000 people signed up for a free Universal ticket? Could be possible but I doubt it. By the way, I signed up five days later and still got a free ticket.

Eh, a ticket "on my birthday" is less valuable to me than one to Universal that I can use ANY TIME in 2009...

I know someone who got rejected filling it out the next day. You're a lucky man GothMickey!

...or maybe my friend was just UN-lucky!

I received the email saying I won one of the tickets but have not received anything else. Has anyone got a letter or anything they could use for a ticket? I am worried they forgot about me.

I actually just received a ticket in the mail today. And the funny thing is, I entered but they never said I was one of the winners, so I wasn't expecting anything. It didn't come in an envelope, just sort of a folded flyer, so watch for it soon!
