Who has done the "International dinner & Illuminations dessert party" and what do you

We are trying to plan a grand gathering and was wondering about the International dinner & Illuminations dessert party. Has anyone been - what do you think - would be using the dining plan.

We did this gathering this past Friday night. It was fun. Minnie and Goofy were there. They introduced birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The characters danced with the kids and did a conga line. Food was okay. Desserts were cookies, cupcakes, cobbler, brownies. They also had coffee set up, etc. The reserved section to view illuminations was good, but there is no seating-you have to stand, which can be difficult when trying to enjoy dessert and coffee. Overall an okay experience. Tony's breakfast was lots of fun with great food and good character interaction. The fireworks cruise was also a lot of fun. Hope you have a great time!
