As of February 21, Boatwright's at the POR-Riverside will no longer be serving breakfast.

That's horrible. Breakfast there was much better than dinner was.

We never got to try breakfast--we were going to do it in September because hubby really wanted to try the sweet potato pancakes. We went for dinner in 2007 and it was by far the second worse meal we've ever had at Disney (second to H&V).

Sorry to hear that. We liked the breakfast there. We've never eaten dinner or lunch there, so I don't know how that compares.

Is this a rumor or have you confirmed it with Disney Dining? I'm really going to miss my sweet potato pancake fix in Dec.

No way!! We absolutely loved eating breakfast there. It was by far better than lunch and dinner although those weren't bad just preferred the breakfast. Oh, those sweet potato pancakes yummy. If it's true then the food court better start offering them.

Well that explains it. When I made our ADR's on Monday she told me that there was no room for us at breakfast I guess what it was was there WAS no breakfast. We were going to go on our last morning before out flight. Hubby really wanted to try the Sweet Potato Pancakes...that is just a shame.:(

...I don't believe it.....I just can't....they always have a good turn out for breakfast, even though the food court is there and busy as well......the pancakes and cinny toast has to be the best anywhere.....I sure hope it's a rumor and not true.....:confused::confused::ill:

Someone called this morning. Disney Dining was not aware of it so they called Boatwright's directly and were told the same thing I posted originally--no breakfast as of February 21.

Our family recently returned from a 7 day excursion to the "world" and ate breakfast twice at Boatwrights...We all ate the deep fried French Toast...That will sorely be missed

.......that's not fair, and to make it even worse, it's "closing" a day after my birthday....

.....I wonder why they find it necessary to close for breakfast? It's way better than their dinner......:ill::(:confused:

Called this morning to make a ressie at CRT and I asked the CM about Boatwrights. She told me that in the slower months they do close certain restaurants down because of attendance and when the summer comes they reopen. She said she hasn't been told they were closed but things at disney change on a day to day basis.
