Ol' Man Island - POR

According to a letter that I just received today, Ol' Man Island will be closed for refurb from February 2nd until late February. The Doubloon Lagoon pool at POP-FQ will be available to POR guests. The resorts leisure pools (quiet pools?) will remain open during this time.

Well, although I will be down there during this time - I think that I can live without the big pool. I just hope that the Fountain of Nations is going again by then!

BTW - the letter was on some great stationery! Mickey, Goofy and Donald in hardhats and work shoes (except Donald - barefoot as always)

We rarely use that pool anyway, generally choosing the closer quiet pools. We tried it ONCE in December...and 5 minutes after we got in, they had to close it down because some child--- er---pooped in it! LOL guess it just wasnt meant to be. Honestly though - it's a bit of a hike to go over to POFQ - you'd have to be pretty motivated to bother!
