We were thinking of bringing our bicycles with us (since we're driving) and using them for morning exercise and perhaps to explore other resorts.

Has anyone biked around Disney before? Is it bike-friendly? And are there any bike racks where we could lock them up?

I don't want to bring them if we have to lock them to the car every day.

Thanks!

1) It is forbidden to bike at Disney, except on bike paths.
2) There are very few paths (mainly FW & WL).
3) It is dangerous to bike on the roads. *

* Would you want to be biking when I am driving around?

Yeah. Save the money on dragging them down there on the car and rent the bikes at the resorts. They certainly aren't road bikes and don't go very fast, but they are nice touring bikes.

Besides, won't you get enough exercise walking and standing all day? You can also go for early morning runs on the paths.

Drive to Fort Wilderness and park. Ride your bikes all through the campground and even over to Wilderness Lodge. You will see all kinds of wildlife and have a quiet relaxing ride. Its a wonderful experience. We've seen deer, rabbits and even armadillo on our bike rides. You will really enjoy it.
