Yacht Club

We're thinking of staying at the Yacht Club for our next WDW visit. I was wondering if the rooms here have been upgraded recently.

Also, if anyone has stayed here, what was your experience?

Yes, the rooms have been recently renovated with at least upgraded electronics.

We stayed here a few years ago and I loved the proximity of Epcot and DHS. We had park hoppers, so we'd find ourselves just going into Epcot for lunch or a snack in one of the countries. The pool is every kids dream, although I found it a bit hard on my feet. I didn't feel comfortable letting my daughter go by herself across the public walkway to the slide entrance, so I spent alot of time taking her back and forth.

It is more of a hotel setup, as opposed to the resort feel of the GF and Poly. If your room is not near an elevator, you can feel a little bit like a mouse in a maze. Being close to the Boardwalk and so many restaurants and entertainment options was great, but I did miss waking up and seeing the castle.
