start of summer vacation?

we are considering a may trip this year. in the northeast school ends in mid to late june. when do schools usually end down south. i believe it is earlier (maybe may?). i want to know when the crowds will start to pick up. thanks.

Holiday Meal Surcharges start on Memorial Day I beleive, so that's what I would expect Disney to start seeing increased traffic.

Our last official day of school (right now) is May 29.

We used to go in May before DS was in school, and we would notice a marked increase in crowds beginning about a week before Memorial Day weekend . . .

My DS's attend a private school here & their last day was scheduled for May 29, and our public schools here should be out about a week before us. But, we had that crazy wind storm back in September & no power here in most of Louisville for up to a week in some places & now the kids have to make those days up! So who knows for sure when our last day will be, and of course if we have any snow days, it will be even later! :(

June 12, is the last day for school in Bridgewater Massachusetts (this includes one snow day).
