T-Rex and reservations

I've heard that the T-Rex restaurant was going to start taking reservations in January. Does anyone know if this has started already, and if so, do I call Disney Dining or the restaurant?

i reserved for rainforest through disney last time,i imagine it would work the same for t-rex

The manager told me that they would start taking reservations in January.

He also stated that they where not honoring DVC/AP discounts until January also.

I have no idea what the specific date is.

I'd call the restaurant directly and ask.

P.S. We walked in with no wait for lunch. At dinner, we walked back by and heard the wait was over 2 1/2 hours long.

I was going to post the same thing. I remember seeing the phone number for the restaurant somewhere and that they were going to start taking reservations but I can't remember where I saw it now. We are thinking about trying this out on our mid january trip.

:(We were not impressed by the food, the staff, or the way they handled seating. We were "smooshed" at a table near the bar, very noisy. Our waitress seemed over whelmed. The food was nothing spectacular - we prefer Rainforest.

I was told last week that they still were not taking any reservations for the 12th....which is when we were planning on trying it.

As far as the experience...i have very little expectaions....i expect it to be exactly like rainforest or very close...

Rainforest is fine....but kinda a waste with all the other food offerings in the WDW area....

I would expect Trex to be the same....

I just called T-Rex restaurant directly (407-828-8739) and got reservations for the end of January.

They said that the reservations will be like a priority seating and we would be able to skip any long lines without reservations.

Yep, I just called as well and made my reservation for the 24th with no problem.

...we just got back and T REX was great....!!

....we sat just outside the ice cave....

...we only waited about 10 minutes to get in and that was on Dec 27th....

I'd recommend this place to anyone, the wait staff up were execptionally nice and professional...:mickey:

I just made ressies for May 25th. They take ressies up to 6 months out. WOOHOO!!

Just called and had no problems for reservations on the 30th of January for dinner.

I was there in Dec and you can see its the same people who made the Rainforest Cafe as the outlay is the same .
I wasnt that impressed with it however the Pork Shank was unbelievable and the best i have ever tasted ( in my view thats the only thing that kept me going back )
