Stephanie and I had planned our fantasy day at Epcot for her friend Courtney. It was so much fun to take a newbie to one of our favorite places.

We tryed to think of what would be the best way to introduce her to WDW and what form of transportation we would like her to experience first.

Since we normally stay onsite, we wanted to get to Epcot early and take the monorail since Courtney has never rode it.

So we approached our entry to Epcot by starting out by way of the MK resort area. We stopped at Dunkin Donuts and got coffee and donuts before we got on Disney property, got the car parked and got on the Epcot monorail to give her a view of the MK and then a good look at Epcot on the way in.

Other monorail riders were jealous of our Dunkin Donut coffee. We were on a sugar high and caffeine buzz by the time we arrived at Epcot. Courtney was in awe of Epcot as we rode the monorail through the park and then got off to get into the park. We arrived right at opening time and just entered the park and walked on over to get FP for Soarin. We went on the Land ride first, then Soarin twice. Courtney loved them both. We were all a little hungry so we got a plate of stir fry and shared a few bites each. It was just enough to get us through until lunch. We stopped to see the Lion King and friends before we left the building.

Next we headed towards Spaceship Earth. Stephanie and I had been on the rehab ride in May. The line was really long....we had to wait about 20 minutes to finally get into our time capsules. My husband didn't really care for the new ending but Courtney loved it since she didn't know any better.

Next we headed to Ellen and the dinos. We walked right onto that ride.

As we passed Mission to Space Courtney begged Stephanie to ride it with her but no way. That was the only disappointment for Courtney during our day at Epcot. She wouldn't ride solo so we moved on.

Stephanie got Courtney to take a taste of Beverly and thought that was really funny. The girls enjoyed the coke break.

We headed onto Imagination and the fountains. We didn't even go inside-they had fun just playing with the fountains. It was a beautiful day and not too hot or cold.

By now everyone was starting to get hungry and Stephanie wanted to head to World Showcase.

Courtney has relatives in Canada and spends a few weeks a year visiting so she loved looking around and the movie. She talked to the natives and a few of them knew the area Courtney visits.

We spent a lot of time in England waiting for the street performers. The girls loved them. We got fish and chips which were very good. I have gotten them in the past where they have been greasy but these were perfect.

We spent some time in Japan and the girls got to share one of the candies made by the talented lady. They picked a swan. Spent time shopping.

On to China and the acrobats since both girls are gymnasts.

The girls stopped at shops as we walked around and we ended up in Mexico to eat. We found a great table next to the water and decided to hang out there until Illuminations. The girls went off shopping after eating some nachos.

By the time Illuminations started we figured we had perfect seats. The smoke looked bad in other locations but we had a clear view the entire show. Courtney was very impressed and we watched a great show. Love it.

We didn't hurry to get out of the park and enjoyed the bridge light show and the greetings on Spaceship Earth. Also the water show and lights-we were on one of the last monorails out of the area.

A great day and evening. The weather could not have been more perfect. And now Courtney is officially in love with WDW like us.
