Help me pick 2 days for New Year's week

Hi Everyone,
I just can't seem to decide, so if you all could give me your oppinion that would be great. I'll be in OC with my two boys from Dec 28-Jan 4. My schedule is completely flexible. What would be the best two days to go to DL/CA to beat the crowds? They don't have to be consecutive. I know I'm not going to beat the crowds during the busiest week of the year, but it's just me and a 4 & 9 year old, so I'm hoping to pick the least crowded, so I don't lose my mind.

I wouldn't do the weekends.....we went on the 6th of december and it was a madhouse. granted we were only there to see the holiday lights, but it was super crazy. Try mid week.

I vote for Monday-Tuesday. They are usually less expensive, but realize the time from Christmas to New Year's is usually super busy!
