Hi Everyone,

We just returned from the World and had the basic dining plan. This was our first time on the dining plan where it didn't include tax and tip. However, when we totaled the tax and tip on the receipt we were never charged for the tax portion. (We were using our room key to charge the tax & tip).

Has anyone else experienced this? We never paid tax the entire time we were down there, just the tip. Thoughts?

Tax is included on the dining plan. Tip is not. When we went in 2007 and tip was included, we never paid separately for tax. I think disney takes tax into account when they set the price for the DDP.

It was my understanding that the tax is included. It is only the tip you have to pay.

do the same rules apply for the 2009 DDP? (tax included, but not tip)
