TBY2225: Both families met up in front of Magic Kingdom to catch the opening ceremony (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2362413320101825575ZcFKEq). We really enjoyed seeing this and were happy to see that the crowd was very low. We made our way inside and saw Chip and Dale (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2530730670101825575XeRmwV) with no wait, so the kids got pictures and autographs with them. We stopped and took a few pictures on Main Street (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2514392340101825575sHokFL)and then we made our way to Crystal Palace for breakfast. After breakfast we started left in Adventureland. We rode JC with a 5 minute wait, walked onto PoTC (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2999011840101825575ErxGNQ), got FP’s for BTMRR, and let part of the group ride Splash Mtn. While they rode, I took DS to see Goofy and to play in the playground under the bridge. Then we used our FP’s and child swapped BTMRR. It was getting really hot so we took the train from Frontierland to Main Street and headed out of the park. We all spent the afternoon together at the pool relaxing, while DH and DS took a nap. This was so much fun and such a welcome break from the heat! That evening we headed for DHS. We went in and saw on the board a 120 minute wait for TSMM. We decided to try and catch it later in the week. We headed toward RnR and got FP’s then rode ToT using child swap. We went and saw the Muppets 3D, got autographs by Belle (in blue dress), Mary Poppins, and Lightning and Mater. We then used our FP’s and child swapped RnR. My daughter was so excited because she was finally tall enough to ride it and she loved it! After RnR, we went to Rosie’s and got some dinner and headed into Fantasmic. Of course it was packed, but we only got there about 15 minutes early and still got a good seat. This was the first time my (TBY’s family) had seen it. We all really enjoyed it, even the 2 year old! We left right after Fantasmic and once again didn’t have to wait for a bus. We headed back and went for a swim in the Hippy Dippy pool.

MCGOOFY: This is my favorite pic (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2000114500101825575gmDZCZ)that we took at MK. At Crystal Palace, my DS loved being able to custom order pancakes. He had the CM make him a chocolate chip Mickey Mouse pancake (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2103349620101825575kcupAH)! At DHS, I was sad that we were not able to ride TSMM together, but I knew TBY2225 could get FP’s later in the week. Our family had already ridden it on a previous trip, and it just was not worth losing 2 hours of our Disney day to do. Tara and I made a pact that we would ride it together on another trip!

We were all tired so we skipped the EMH at AK and got there just before 9am. We went straight to the safari to get in line while McGoofy’s wonderful husband went to get us all FP’s for Everest. The Safari was a walk on, so we waited for him and then took a ride. We saw lots of animals since it was still nice and cool out. Next we did the Lion King show. This was really neat! I love the costumes and music. McGoofy’s son got picked to do the Lion roar and one of the men dressed like a monkey kept playing with my DS. He loved it! Next we went to see the Nemo musical. I also love the puppets and music in this one. We used our FP for Everest and had lunch at Yak & Yeti Local Foods. On the way out, we stopped to see Baloo, Flik, Briar Rabbit and Briar Bear. Then we headed back to our hotels for swim and naps! We met back up at 5pm in Epcot to do the F&W festival! We caught the 5:15 Sam Adams beer presentation and then ate (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2234938220101825575dqjWlV) and drank our way around the world. We did stop in Norway and rode Maelstrom. Then around 8pm we found a spot to watch illuminations (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2591513020101825575zJWDMB) and sat and rested a while. After illuminations we headed back to the hotel.

TBY2225: My family got to Epcot about 9:30 and went straight to Soarin. We child swapped it, got FP’s for later and then rode LWTL. As we were getting off the ride, McGoofy called and we decided to meet up. We rode TT and got FP’s for later and then headed to Canada for lunch. We were a little early, so the kids did a mask at the Kidcot station (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2094730170101825575qMHExl)and then we all had lunch at Le Cellier. After lunch, McGoofy and family went to MK for a while, our family went to the Living Seas. We rode the Nemo ride, saw the dolphins, (my personal favorite) fish and manatees, and saw Turtle Talk with Crush. We took a ride on Spaceship Earth and played a few of the games in the area where you come out after the ride. I really like the enhancements to the ride. I am still trying to get used to Judi Dench’s voice, but I like the little movie on the way back down and how they put your picture up on the screen when you come out. Next we did the Visa credit card meet and greet. This was really nice. There were only about 5 families in front of us and when we got in we had Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto all to ourselves. You also get a coupon for a free 5x7 of any of the photo pass pictures they take in the meet and greet. As we were leaving the meet and greet, McGoofy called and said they were on the monorail back to Epcot, so we met them in front of the park. That is where we got to meet our fellow Intercot member KineGirl, her daughter and father. It was so nice to be able to meet up with her for a few minutes. I was glad to put a face with a name and to meet someone else who shares our love of Disney and Intercot as well! After the very informal meet, McGoofy said they needed to be heading out shortly. They were supposed to go home this night and it was getting late. So, we quickly used our Soarin and TT FP’s. By this time, McGoofy’s husband was tired and didn’t want to drive, so as they were going to try and find a room for the night, we said our very sad goodbyes and since we didn’t go back for a nap we headed out of the park around 5:30pm for the night. We got back to the Pop, had dinner in the food court, and let the kids swim for a while. After the kids were in bed I got a call from McGoofy. They had gotten a room at the Pop for the night and she was on her way with her DS to the pool! I met up with her there and we sat and talked for about an hour and a half. This ended up being one of the best parts of my trip. We weren’t on a ride or even in a park together it was just the two Tara’s in our favorite place together, taking it easy, and just talking!

MCGOOFY: We split to go to MK because my son was having school pictures done the day after we were getting home, and he needed at haircut. We had promised him he could get one done at the MK. This is a pic of Mike and DS (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2004833690101825575smyorJ)with pixie dust in his hair. He is the CM who has worked at Harmony Barber Shop for years and has given my DS quite a few haircuts. We were also able to take one last spin on SM while we were there. We headed back to Epcot via the monorail. We were in a hurry because we knew we were meeting our new Intercot friend KineGirl. Of course, this is the time that the monorail stops for a maintenance check!! Anyway, we did have our little mini Intercot meet just not for sake in Japan as we had originally planned. We ended up meeting at the front of Epcot (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2527840070101825575VOmLQx)since we were running late. As TBY2225 already said, my family was having too much Disney fun. We didn’t want to leave! We were able to get an AP rate at Pop, so we extended our stay one last night. I agree with TBY2225 in that sitting by the Hippy Dippy pool while DS swam turned out to be one of my favorite things on this trip. The two Tara’s were just able to sit there and talk. We have so much in common, and it was quite a treat to be at Disney World together. Unfortunately, my family did have to leave the next morning. We left very early 6am. It was better this way since we didn’t see much activity going on, no busses running, etc…It made it just a bit easier to leave.

Yep, McGoofy Tara is in the Tink shirt!:mickey: That's my favorite shirt. I told my DH that it keeps showing up in all of our pictures to WDW. I really do own more shirts! LOL.;)
