View Full Version : Crowds the first week of Jan

We are going to WDW Jan 4th - 11th we've never gone in Jan. Can someone tell me how the crowds might be at that time? We have gone in Dec but have noticed the crowds have gotten heavier over the years so we thought we would try in Jan. Will it still be bad or lighter?

We were there Jan 1 - 13, 2008 and crowds were great. I do not remember waiting long for anything the whole time.

DBF and I only trval to the world in January. Hence my signature lol. We believe in our opinion its a prime time. But there have been a lot of people that complain that January is just as crowded but we havent found that at all. So I guess it all depends on what you "expect" to be crowded and what you get. Its in a lot of ppls opinion I believe. We will be there from January 6-16! YAY! But we do find it to be a lot less crowded at that time frame than any other time. Its right after the New Years/Major Holiday bump and just before the Marathon which builds crowds in the parks for that weekend majorly. But you are right in the middle so you should be good! IMHO! :mickey:

We'll be there Jan 4-11 too! :mickey: Here's hoping for light crowds! We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside, and I can't wait!

You may just see an increase in the crowds later in the week for the Marathon. Marathon Weekend is January 9th - 11th, but the crowds weren't bad last year. The traffics is closed in some areas and rerouted early in the day on the 10th and the 11th since there are runners on the roads, but it is a great time to go.

We were there from Jan. 1 - 10, 2008. It was very busy up until about the 6th/7th. Then the crowds dropped off dramatically.

Most schools are back in session on January 5 next year so the crowds will probably drop off after that date.
