Disney Dining Plan / Castmember Question

Do Castmembers recieve a discount on the Disney Dining Plan Packages? If so, is it just for the castmember, or for the entire family? How would I go about adding the plan onto my package?

I think the CM would have to make those arrangements - if they would even be possible.

Having spent part of last week with a few cast member friends at WDW I can say that they are not entitled to use the DDP. They can use the DDE or whatever they call it now, it provides meal and drink discounts and they get various dining discount perks as part of their employment. We tried to use an extra TS meal credit we had for a cast member friend and the waiter would not allow it but he accepted his employee discount.

We have certain times that we do get discounts on the DDP and can use it. But the CM does have to make those arrangements.
