Were staying one night at the AKL on the last
leg of of upcoming trip in 2009.
Were getting a standard club level room or the Savannah room.
Can anyone tell me the difference?

Well, a club level room has access to the lounge where you can get food & drinks at specified times, but since you said standard, I'm thinking that would be standard view and would not overlook the animals whereas a savannah view room would overlook the animals, but unless it was club level would not have access to the lounge.

I want to say that there ARE standard club rooms as well as savannah view club rooms......I'm sure that someone will be along shortly to confirm/correct me.

I think like those posted above, that there are standard view club rooms...however, when I checked the map of AKL, it looks like the rooms looking over the parking lot only go up to the 5th floor. I thought that the 6th floor was club level. So if that's the case, you will at least have a view of the Savannah.

I would call AKL or the reservations line and make sure.
