I hope this is the right place to post. Other discussions about the mom's panel were posted here, so here goes. . .

I received the phone call this afternoon, and I was selected to serve on the 2009 Disney Mom's Panel!! :yay: This entire experience has been crazy and stressful, but I am very excited! I hope to do Intercot proud!! Thanks to everyone who sent good luck wishes and pixie dust my way!

Hello everyone - thanks for the well wishes! It's been crazy since we received the good news. First, I was sick for a week (better now than in December!) and second, we've been preparing for our training trip to Disney.

I'm not sure how many of you know but Laura, a 2008 panelist, recently accepted a job at Disney in the Marketing Department. She is now our direct supervisor for this process and of course she is making it exciting for us so far.

As you know, we have 16 panelists this year. A couple new dimensions include a mom from England and we'll have a grandma on the panel as well!

Most of us have our flights booked. Disney will be flying most of us in on 12/5. (The exception is our England Mom - she will be flying in on 12/4 due to her 9.5 hour flight!) We will be staying at the Coronodo Springs resort and our first event is 12/5 at 4:30.

We've been told that our itinerary will include moms panel training with lots of Disney magic sprinkled on top.

Probably the most nerve-wracking part for me will be creating the online biography. We've also been told that we'll be creating some of the 'How To' videos while we're at it. At least we'll all have something to laugh at!

As Diane said we are very excited! Unfortunately, since Diane posted, we haven't really gotten any updates. Our itinerary is a big secret, which is exciting, but also excruciating because I want to know what we'll be doing!!! I will be sure to write a trip report when we return to fill everyone in on our experience. As far as I know we are still allowed to post on the boards!
