Actually, the movie has premiered in the UK last Thursday, 10/30/08. November 14 is the US premier date.

I saw it last night (Mon 4th Nov).

It's ok. Entertaining enough but in my opinion Casino Royale was such a good, well made film Quantum Of Solace was always going to struggle to be any where near as good.

As for Craig. I think he does a good job. remember it follows straight on from Casino Royale so Craig's Bond is still vulnerable and making mistakes.

I won't say any more. Please go and see and judge for yourselves.

Yup, Quantum opened to record numbers over seas. I am pretty pumped to see it. I went into Casino Royale a skeptic of Craig as Bond, and came out of thinking he rivaled Connery. I think the previews look great. I'll be back with my review next week.

Just watched it..and its not a patch on Casino Royale ,Daniel Craig is brilliant as the evolving James Bond ( remember they have gone back to the very begining with Bond, so his raw and falible )
The things that let the film down for me was it was disjointed and they tried to be too flash with the camerawork in the chase scenes
I will need to see it again to make full sence of the story because of its fast pace .Overall 5/10 but i look forward to Craig being in a Bond with a good story ...

By the way the theme tune by Jack White and Alicia Keys was the worst in Bond theme tune history :ack:

My husband is a huge Bond fan, and while in Thailand this week, he had the opportunity of seeing Quantum of Solace. Loved it, and said Daniel Craig has now overtaken Sean Connery as his favorite Bond.

Saw it yesterday. It was good, but not as good as Casino. Craig still makes an excellent Bond, but I agree that the story was a bit all over the place, and they seemed really focused on the over the top action scenes this time around. :spoiler:There was the car chase, run downs on foot, a boat chase, a plane chase... it was all a bit much. :spoiler:

I also did not like the theme song.

I agree with what the previous posters said. saw this a couple of weeks ago and while Daniel Craig outacted everyone on screen (with the exception of Dame Judy) the plot was extremely disjointed and the ending could have done with a lot of work

I have been a huge Bond fan all of my life, movies and books both.I am in the minority that didnt like Casino Royale,I thought that it stayed close to the book but they sucked all the fun out of the franchaise.
Ive just seen Quantum and although the action scenes are an improvement, there really isnt anything else besides them.
I did like the song however;Alicia Keyes and The White Stripes are a bit edgier with it but it was cool, much like Garbage's theme song to World is not Enough.
There is nothing left of Bond in these films,it might be a 'reboot' but for me its a waste of time
Id rather wait for another Bourne film.

I liked it and I'm definitely liking Daniel Craig more and more. The shaky camera bit got to me in the first scenes, but got better (or maybe I just got used to it). Overall, I liked Casino Royale better, but am really looking forward to the next one, which hopefully isn't a continuation of this story.

I liked Daniel Craig as Bond in these 2 films, although I still put him #2 behind Connery. By the end of Pierce Brosnan's term, I was done with the Bond series. I was tired of him always having a little machine hidden in his watch that could help him escape from any situation. But when I heard how Craig's 007 was more like the Jason Bourne-type action, I got interested in it again. Craig's bond is very gritty and organic, which is how I think it should be. Not relying too much on inventions. I will continue to watch 007 films as long as they stay away from the pitfalls of the past. :)

I absolutely LOVED this movie. Daniel Craig makes James Bond a total stud action figure and I love that they moved away from the kitschy feeling that Bond movies of old are known for. The cinematography was awesome, the story was strong and the action scenes were amazing! Dame Judy Dench was also great reprising her role as M.

That's exactly what James and I were discussing, and it's why he's so hyped about these new ones. And yes, Daniel Craig is a stud!
