We were new to the dining plan this trip. Let me say that it was well worth the money. The piece of mind of knowing that it was all planned and paid for made for an amazing trip. I also want to thank all of you because all of my dining ideas came from you. All we ever did was eat at the same places every time. So thank you.

Sunday-

Lunch at Pecos Bills. I had the pulled pork, yummy! Could not believe how much food I was able to get. DH got the double cheeseburger with bacon, yummy! DD got the same, yummy! DS got the child's burger, he ate half but this is normal.

Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. Let me start by saying that we all loved this place. I am so sad that they are getting rid of the character experience here, the characters were the best we encountered all week. The food here was great, my fav all week. The rolls were wonderful, the sweet butter just heaven. The salad was great! The meat and stuffing wonderful. My kids even liked the green beans. We also enjoyed the apple crisp. We had a great time. Thumbs Up for Liberty Tree .

Monday-

Lunch at Flametree BBQ. The food here was also fantastic. My DD and I both got the half chiken and loved it. It was so tender that I was able to break some off to feed to my DS8months that is not even eating table food yet. DH got the beef sandwhich and loved it but this meal did not come with enough food for him and he was hungry still. DS got the kids chicken. We had a beautiful view of the water overlooking Everest, loved it!

Dinner at Crystal Palace. Please don't burn me at the stake but we did not like it here at all. The characters were hard to get over to the table, we were told that they circulate and they did but just were not making it to our table. After 1 hour and 45 minutes still no Pooh! I also was not too impressed with the food. :( I felt that this was a very stressful dinner for us, we just felt very chaotic. I have done many character buffets before, but just did not like this one at all. Thumbs down for Crystal Palace.

Tuesday:

Lunch none

Dinner at the Coral Reef. This was great! They sat our entire party (10 of us) in front of the glass, we were so happy. The service here was top notch. DH and I both got the steak and loved it. I also added the Lobster Soup on I loved it too! DD got the salmon and finished it off. DS got the pasta and loved it as well. For dessert DD and I got the chocolate wave, yummy, but not the cherries:ack:. DH got the mango parfait and loved it. DS loved creating his own Sundae. Thumbs up for Coral Reef:thumbsup:

Wednesday: None we went to Universal!

Thursday:

Lunch none

Dinner at Brown Derby. What a great choice. I had the salmon which was great . DH had the steak which he said was good but that the Coral Reef was better. DD had the steak as well which she loved. DS fell asleep and did not eat. We also received appitizers, DH had the portabello ravioli, loved it, I had the chopped salad, loved it, DD had the crab cake, loved it. For dessert DH had ice cream, I had grapefruit cake, yummy, DD had cream brulee , loved it! The service here was impecable, the server looked up my kids names and addressed them all by their names. I was very impressed.

Friday:

Lunch at Columbia Harbor House, yummy! I loved this place too. DH and I had the fish basket and loved it. DD had chicken fingers and DS had the mac and cheese. This was a great lunch. Thanks to whomever said to go upstairs to eat, I never would have done this before but really enjoyed it.

Dinner at Le Chef de France. I love this restaurant. From the staff from France to the food it is great! I could not tell you what I had but it had scallops and shrimp and was very good. DH and I also shared the mushroom tarte which was great! DD had duck which she loved (I know my kids are great eaters). For dessert DH had a chocolate puff, I had the apple dessert and DD had cream brulee. We loved it all!

Saturday:

Lunch: at Pop

Dinner at Sci-Fi we love this place it is the only place that we always come. We just enjoy the ambiance and the regular food after a week of eating rich foods. DD and I had the ribs they were great! DH had the burger, liked it. DS had the burger only ate 1/2. We all got shakes and dessert, yummy.

The rest of the CS meals we ate at Pop. By the way Pop has great flatbread sandwiches!

:ditto: I second your opinion on Crystal Palace. We went there 2 visits ago and felt the exact same way. We waited 20 minutes for a glass of water, the food was standard buffett food we could find in our home town and our server had to escort us over to the characters to get pictures with the kids as we were done and sitting around waiting for them to come by. We'll never waste a table service there again.

[QUOTE=Belster;1772263]I am so sad that they are getting rid of the character experience here, [QUOTE]

I hadn't heard this - can you tell me more? Are they still offering the same menu? We've gone there for lunch 2 trips and loved it!

Great review of your meals.
I too am sad to see the characters leave LTT. They will still offer the same food I believe- just not the characters.

Thanks for the honest reviews. I'm glad you enjoyed the Columbia Harbor House and knew you could go upstairs. I think this is like undiscovered jewel. I enjoy the food and the service is always quick and its not overrun with people and that makes for a relaxing time :mickey:

Sounds like you all had very nice dining experiences (sans CP).

I will say that I took DS to CP for dinner once and we have not gone back FOR DINNER, but we have been twice for breakfast and THAT is a totally different experience!! We like breakfast there.....the characters still can be slow coming though, but they do make it around in less than two hours!!

Thanks for the report-

I agree that Brown Derby has excellent service- i love it there.

Also Sci fi- i like it to, but many others do not, we have eaten there 3 times and all were good.
