Question about ADR on line/call in

I am confused about the new on line ADR's. Is this how things are supposed to be done now? Or vcan we still call in and reserve 180 days ahead of time. Granted my 180 mark for the next trip is not until March 28... but I want to make sure I do it right so I can get my first choices! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
