Beginning of Dec bookings

Anybody know why beginning of Dec is so booked up?? We are DVC members and tried in July to get rooms through DVC and we ended up in a cabin at Fort Wilderness. Dates are from the 5th to the 12th and I don't understand. This is always a quiet time at the world, we've been there before at this time. I understand that the DVC member meeting is this weekend, and mousefest starts toward the end of the stay, but are we going to get stuck in crowds:confused:

Another reason why rooms are booked solid is because of Pop Warner (football and cheerleaders) but the good thing about that is they are not in the parks most of the time.
