Cast of Characters:
Me-Carol, Totally stressed out, in much need of lots of fun
DH-Gilles, one dude that is WAY too serious
Today, we're off to Animal Kingdom. Again, nothing planned we'll just go with the flow. We got there at a little after 9, so we headed off to Kilimanjaro Safari to get a fastpass, then go find something else to do. The standby line was only 25 minutes so we decided to skip the FP's and just stand in line. The line went very quickly and we were able to get on to start our journey. Our driver was fantastic, he stopped for us to see the different (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2556267680093439642wGOAUV) animals (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2547393090093439642OXjcxz) and the we got to see several different (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2641654400093439642eQhIAQ) ones, including the new baby giraffe (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2147869990093439642kMsikm). I really recommend that you do this early in the morning to see the animals. It was really hot and muggy during the day and the animals were really out and in sight.
After the safari we headed off to Festival of the Lion King (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2792568940093439642pZwaUr). After the show, we went to go see a bunch (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2411502130093439642bYScte) of characters (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2489925770093439642hMHrXQ). It was really fun because this time Goofy (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2519794290093439642FbXzFA) was really fun, when we went in December, he wasn't playing around at all and I wasn't sure if I'd go see him again. When we got to Donald (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2752846760093439642cmuQre) there was a small group from Make a Wish that wanted to see him, when the handler asked us if we minded that they went ahead of us, of course it wasn't a problem at all and I couldn't see why they would even have to ask. Last of all we went to see Chip and Dale (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2575507430093439642eTCONp). We were giving the photographers and the handlers our little thank you cards when we reached each character and again we got to see some very happy people. Chip and Dale's handler shared it with them and we got the 4 thumbs up!!!
By the time we finished it was getting close to 12:30, so we headed over to Yak and Yeti for our 1 o'clock ADR. We got in really quickly and ordered our lunch. We didn't want any starters so we each ordered a Tempura Shrimp (http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2827076810093439642ifUKhv) and a drink. For dessert, we got the fried won tons. The food wasn't bad, but it's something I'm not crazy about. We had asked if we could have a menu, since they were just a piece of paper( a little heavier then cardstock). We were told that we could purchase a used one for $10, so we passed on that. We found the place to be really noisy also.
We had enough for the day, so we headed back to the room for our afternoon break. That evening we headed over to MK because I wanted to see Wishes. The park was totally crowded. We got in to Buzz really quickly, then we headed off to It's a Small World and waited in line for that. The line did go pretty quickly, but we decided that as crowded as the park was we'd just go and sit near the castle and find a place for the show, specromagic and Wishes. After the fireworks we went on Pirates then made it back to the jewelry shop where Gilles bought me a second make-up gift for losing the passports..a mickey mouse watch!!!
We decided it was a night and headed back to the resort. Our bus driver, Jon, was really great. He had kept having little quizzes for everyone all the way back.
