Cheer groups in February?

Planning our next trip for February 10-16th (Tues thru Mon) at CSR - SO EXCITED!!! :thumbsup: However, last time we went in Feb our resort (ASM) was bombarded by cheer groups - some very loud, obnoxious and annoying. :mad:Does anyone know if they come back every February and when and do they stay at CSR? Thanks for your feedback!

I've read somewhere (perhaps the official Disney's Sports Center website), that a cheering competition happens every February.

I am typically at WDW in Feb and the cheerleaders/dance teams have been there for the past three years. They were so many at the All-stars that I moved over to CSR (only place with room). Although there were a few, it was less annoying.

My question is, do they ever stop cheering? ugh.

Does anyone know if they have a 'set' date that they come?

Example: the third week of every February, or the 1st weekend. (something like that?)

I've traveled to Disney with some of those cheerleaders in February for the past 3 years. I go with my best friend - her DD is a cheerleader. They have always been at the value resorts and we always stay somewhere else! :D -Since they always seem to be "cheering". We are not coming this year, but I think they are having competitions again in Feb. You may be able to call Disney and get the dates of when the competitions will be. All of those giggling, cheering, screaming girls can be a bit overwhelming!;)

I am not sure of the exact dates..but they usually stay at the All Stars and then for mods I beleive it usually POR and CBR. When we stayed at CBR in Feb 2004 there were groups of cheerleaders staying there.

You should be safe at CSR since I doubt they want to annoy the conference/convention customers with a bunch of screaming cheerleaders. They usually keep the groups competing at the All-Stars with the overflow going to CBR.

2009 Twirlmania is Feb 13-16, this is just a baton, flag & drum corp competition and they are staying at Pop and All Stars. Not nearly annoying as the cheerleaders!
