My husband and I will be staying in the AKL villas in May. I had heard they have night vision goggles to view the animals. Are they in the savannah view rooms? or are they only at the animal viewing areas? Has anyone tried them?

They are outside at the main viewing area, not in the rooms.

Check the AKL bulletin you are given when you check in for the exact time and location. When we stayed there in June, there was a CM with the goggles at the viewing area that is just past the hot tub (can't recall the name of it). It was very cool! :mickey:

It was great fun! They had at least two pairs and very few people showed up to use them. We saw multiple animals with them it was a great thing to do.

My kid thought it was really cool to see the wildlife have a bowel movement in the dark.

They now have night vision googles for kids, eye clops.. they only let u see like 50 feet, but they have really good reviews. It would be neat to wear them in attractions, like haunted mansion to see in the dark.:look:

I'm always at the lodge. There you can go down to the viewing areas where there will be CMs with them for you to use.
