Does anyone know if Darby is at any of the parks. My DS really wants to meet her.

We met Darby in the character meeting area right next to Pooh's Playful Spot - across from The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride.

When we went, we got in line and first we met Pooh, then you walk over and meet Tigger and Darby who were together. This was in March of this year.

As of yesterday she was still there

WAIT! Where is Darby going?

Umm..who is Darby?

She is the new friend who lives in the 100 Acre Wood. I think she is a friend of Christopher Robin. (Playhouse Disney - My Friends Tigger and Pooh)

Is there someone new taking her place or are they just cutting back?

How much longer will she be there? Even when she's gone, will Pooh and Tigger still appear? We'll be there Oct. 16.

She's disappearing completely due to cutbacks. Probably except for training. But no one is scheduled to replace her.

Although Rabbit has been seen over there a lot lately.

No idea as to when, but it shouldn't be much longer since the new year started.

1) Let's not use the word "cutbacks".
2) In Disney parlance,

. . . "Our guest surveys have shown that continuance of personal interaction would be better when replaced with nothing. Surveys have shown that our guests would prefer a less magical experience in other areas, through a reduction in interactions and entertainment which causes congestion in various locations. We appreciate the feedback of our guests and will continue to reduce, based upon their comments."

I like that! It is a nice way of saying "too bad, so sad"

It will be too bad, so sad for a lot of little ones too! Darby is adorable and my kids enjoyed meeting her when we were there a couple of weeks ago.

But, seriously, Tinkerbell is coming!!!! How can you top that!!!!:tink:

Curse our country's messed-up economy!

Let's pray that things get better sooner than later, so that WDW can get more money to re-increase the variety of meet-and-greet characters in the parks again.

What other characters are they going to be cutting back on?

Ok who is Darby? is that who replaced Christopher Robin?I may be wrong, but I think she's supposed to be Christopher Robin's little sister who has inherited his stuffed animal collection since he's now too grown up for them. I may be wrong, though. Might just be a friend.

I'm shocked they'd get rid of her, though, because let me tell you ... the line to meet her is outrageous! We've never even bothered trying to take the kids to see her because the line is just interminable. We waited one time for about 30 minutes and weren't even 1/4 of the way through the queue. We gave up and left.

She seems to be immensely popular.

This really is a shock that she would be leaving. Darby right now is one of the most popular characters.

*shrugs*

I don't know. I don't care for her. I'd much rather have Christopher Robin out there.

But, um....yeah, from a lot of the Entertainment people I know, they say she is a goner. I guess she's getting too old too.

Right now, that's all I've heard.

Well, I heard that Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable are no longer appearing at the Studios.

But I'm guessing that the two might be re-located to Epcot to coincide with the new "KP World Showcase Adventure" when it debuts.

Thank you for all of your help. I haad no clue that they cut back on characters. My DS loves Darby, he thinks that she is pretty.

When will Tinkerbell be coming?

They were there last week up until Saturday and then they were gone.

Has anyone heard anything else about Darby leaving? Has it happened already, or is there an estimated date yet? My Ds would love to meet Darby on our trip.

Why do you always have to be so cynical, Rusty?
