Gratuity on DDP?

Ok, so this'll be our first trip that gratuity won't be included on DDP...so, my question is--can they run the DDP and the gratuity at the same time, or do they run the DDP on your card first, return the receipt to the table then swipe for the tip? (is that making sense?)

They give you the bill, and there is a space for the tip (two tip suggestions are listed):
You had them the card, write in the tip, and can give the tip at the same time.

You can do it all at once...

When they present the bill you can go ahead and write in the tip amount just as though you are paying with a credit card in a reg. restaurant.

Then they take it and do it all at once.

If you want to pay cash for the tip, just put out the amount for the tip with your DDP card when paying the bill.

The servers were really great at guiding us through the DDP plan the first time through.

We found it a lot easier to use cash when tipping. i could keep track of what i had spent that day more easily. But saying that putting it on your card isnt difficult either, just like 3Amommy said, the servers will talk you through it.:thumbsup:
