Aladdin song question

I was going through my Disney mp3's and I realized I have two versions of the same song, Arabian nights.
One version (Movie version)goes "its hot and immense and the heat it intense, its barbaric, but hey its home."

The other version goes " they cut off your ear if they don't like your face, its barbaric but hey its home."
Does anyone know why there are two version to begin with?

The American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee asked for the line to be changed and it was for the video release and all further releases of the movie.

Yes I remember this when it came out. We saw it twice, the first time had the original lyrics and the second time had the edit, funny how that works out.
