DME Question - Connecting Flights

I can't find the answer for this, and I think I know the answer but want to verify.

Next month will be the first time we don't have a non-stop flight to WDW. We leave Milwaukee and change flights in Memphis. I've changed my DME information to show the new flights (just got our tags yesterday) but now I'm wondering if we put the right flight numbers down.

For DME, I put the flight number of our flight from Memphis to Orlando, and Orlando to Memphis - is this right ? Or was I supposed to put our flight numbers to/from our home airport ? I've never even had a connecting flight before so not sure how the luggage tags read so they make the change at the connecting airport.

Was I right or do I need to call and change the flight numbers ?

I always put the connecting flight info on the DME ressie. Although I don't think it really matters. I think the DME yellow tags just alert the luggage handlers to pull your bags and direct them to Disney personnel.

You got it right. No worries. If the yellow tag is on the bag they'll get it to you.
