does anyone know how far in advance you can start to book your reservations on the ddp?

It depends on when you are going. Right now the ressie system is on a freeze. You can make 180 day ADR's for CRT, CM and V&A. You can also make ADR's for any restaurant for days up until Feb 22, 2009. If your vacation is Feb 23, 2009 or later (up to the regular 180 + 10 policy), you can tentatively make ressies beginning Nov 21, 2008 for any restaurant.
Example: My trip is Feb 28 - March 6, so I was able to get CRT and CM ressies for two days of my trip, but I can't make any others until Nov 21, 2008.
