What is the counter service dining plan that some are talking about and when is it available?

The new meal plan is that you get two counter service per day instead of a table service and counter service.

DDP 2009 will have the new Disney Quick Service Plan which includes 2 CS meals and 2 snacks per night stay and 1 refillable resort mug per person. The cost is $10 a day less than the regular plan (I think it's $29.99 per person per night stay).

Now I'm not a fan of the DDP at all...but I would definately consider doing the CS plan next year. That actually seems worth it to me.

Could a passholder take advantage of this?

AP holders can now book a dining plan with a room as part of a "package". You don't have to buy any park tickets (unless it's the free dining promotion), but the reservation becomes a package.....you have to put a $200 deposit down, balance due at 45 days out, etc. I believe they have some sort of restriction on availability, but we didn't have any trouble booking one 8 months ahead of time.
