Hi,

Sorry if these questions have been answered to death already....

If you stay in a WDW resort hotel but buy your tickets seperate, are you still eligible for the extra magic hour perk?

Also, how does it work if you have a relative who works for one of the Disney Parks? How many days are they allowed to let guests in for free? Do you have to meet the employee at the park that they work at in order for you to get in? What happens if your employee relative is not scheduled that day? Do they have to come to the park to let you in anyway? If you do get into a park via employee connection, can you park hop?

Thanks in advance!

Can only answer first question. If you are staying at a disney resort you are entitled to EMH. Oh, by the way, Welcome to Intercot!

Yes, you can to EMH. It doesn't matter where your tickets are from.

My DS was a CM and three of us were able to get into the parks for seven days. We met him at DHS, when he was working and he met us at the gate. There is a CM turnstile. We received a park hopper for the day. We had to sign the ticket as soon as we received it.
The amount of days for him was limited to seven days total for the year. I don't know if it is the same for everyone. He was a CP.

The CM must go to the park gate with you to get you in. They do not need to stay with you all day. They need to show their ID.

Yes. ANY guest staying on Disney Property, or certain hotels off-property (Swan, Dolphin, SOG, and the Hilton) get EMH, regardless of what type or where they bought passes.

Also, how does it work if you have a relative who works for one of the Disney Parks?

They get a Blue Main Gate Pass that will allow them and a select number of guests to enter a select number of days. These vary by their dependents, and their status. See below.

How many days are they allowed to let guests in for free?
CP/Seasonal - 6 days
FT/PT - 12 days

They also get additional passes in the summer and Winter, plus a package at Christmas that includes one park admisssion. The minimum is up to 3 people, if they are single and have no dependents.

Do you have to meet the employee at the park that they work at in order for you to get in?
No. You can meet them at any of the parks.

What happens if your employee relative is not scheduled that day?
....They are off. They can do whatever they want. Most end up at the parks anyways. Why? Because we are poor and can't afford other places.

Do they have to come to the park to let you in anyway?
No, but they are responsible for anything you do in the park. They can tell which ID was used to get the Guests into the parks because you will be given a hard ticket.

If you do get into a park via employee connection, can you park hop?
Yes, you get a one-day park hopper.
